Bernardo Balance
This was the first project I ever photographed, so it holds a special place in my heart. The design process was really driven by the wife’s love of purple—it’s a meaningful color in her culture, and she was set on having a purple kitchen. Her husband, on the other hand, was very color-averse, so finding the right balance became the biggest design challenge.
The kitchen was part of a new addition, and we worked hard to honor her vision while keeping the overall palette soft and livable. We landed on a custom purple tile with a more muted tone—just enough to make a statement without overwhelming the space. Even the powder room carries through that same hue, tying everything together in a way that feels personal and cohesive.
The granite shower wall was another moment I love—its large scale added drama and contrast in a really elegant way. Every detail in this home reflects a push-and-pull between bold personality and quiet restraint, which made it such a rewarding project to bring to life.
