Poway Vista
This one was all about balance. The couple wanted a space that felt bold and masculine—but still warm, soft, and welcoming. He gravitates toward an industrial aesthetic with lots of black and gray, so we worked to bring in that vibe while layering in softer elements to create something they’d both love.
The layout was tricky. The original bathroom had a tiny shower, a huge built-in tub, and a closed-off water closet that made the space feel cramped. We reimagined everything—relocating the toilet, removing the tub, and carving out space for a double shower with dual showerheads. We also added built-in laundry hampers to make the room more functional.
Design-wise, the materials did a lot of the talking. The quartzite stone shower wall brought in that bold tone, while creamy wall tiles and taupe star-and-cross accents softened the edges. The Nelson bubble lamp was the finishing touch—a warm glow that brings everything together and makes the room feel like a true retreat.
